The Power of Prayer
God wants to have an intimate relationship with you on a daily basis, it’s our privilege to prioritize our schedule’s to make sure we are putting Christ first in our lives. Matthew 6:33 seek ye the kingdom and his righteousness and all other things will be given unto you as well. What Jesus is saying here is that, if you put Him first in your life God will take care of your needs . He does not promise a life without trials and storms, but He does promise to go before you. Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Prayer is so powerful because it’s direct communication with God. You can do it any place , at anytime . Prayer doesn’t have to be some philosophical, big word discussion with God. Remember, God already knows what you need and what you’re going to ask for . So, you say why should we pray then if God already knows what we’re going to say? God loves talking to his children, He delights in it, He is also a jealous God Who does not want you to have any other gods besides Him. Exodus 20:5 you shall not bow down yourself to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God. We just have to trust him, He is good and always has our best interest at heart. I know you want the best for your children, God sees his children the same way. Did you know that God said in Exodus 22:23-if you do and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry. God is listening for our prayers at all times. You won’t believe how much of a difference it will make in your marriage and family. There have been so many marriages and families destroyed over the last 50 years, it is very sad . We need to pray healing and restoration over our marriages and families from this day forward until Christ comes back to take his children home. Prayer is a wonderful gift we can hand down to our children for generations. We can make a difference in this world with prayer.
